Community Acupuncture

In China, acupuncture is often practiced in hospitals and clinics where many people receive treatment together in a common room.  Community Acupuncture in the U.S. is a style of practice that is emerging as a response to the high costs of healthcare and the limited choices people have in seeking alternative care like acupuncture.

In community acupuncture clinics, individual treatments are given in a group setting.  At Mission Community Acupuncture we have comfortable rooms with four reclining chairs and three treatment tables. The cost of treatment is a sliding scale, twenty to forty dollars* (you decide what you can afford). There is no need to disrobe as acupuncture points on the arms, legs and scalp can access the energy to treat most complaints, even back pain and digestive problems.
